As horses age, their dental requirements change, making regular examinations and a tailored approach to dental maintenance increasingly important.
We take a gentle, considered approach to older horses, adapting each treatment to their individual dental condition, comfort and tolerance. Particular attention is given to worn, loose or missing teeth, ensuring that any necessary rasping is carried out carefully and conservatively, without removing more tooth material than required.
Our priority is to maintain comfortable chewing, support effective feed digestion and preserve quality of life. Where appropriate, we also provide advice on dietary adjustments and ongoing dental management to help meet the changing needs of the older horse.
Every horse is treated as an individual, with comfort, welfare and long-term dental health at the forefront of everything we do.
